Controlled airflow, strict cleanroom protocols and continuously monitored environments ensure freshness and quality remain intact from arrival to dispatch. All our operations run on SAP systems and are supported by Organic, FFL, GMP, FSSC 22000, FSMA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and several other accreditations and certifications.

Vacha (Acorus Calamus): The "Aromatic Intelligence," widely known as Vacha or Sweet Flag. It belongs to the Acoraceae family. It is a semi-aquatic, perennial herb. The aromatic, sword-shaped leaves characterize the plant. These leaves grow in dense tufts. They emerge from a thick, creeping rhizome. The plant usually grows to a height of 1 to 1.5 meters. Vacha thrives in marshy tracts, riverbanks, and wetlands across the Northern Hemisphere. Experts consider its native range indigenous to Central Asia and the Himalayan region. This includes India, Nepal, and Bhutan. Since then, it has become naturalized in many other temperate regions globally.
Healthcare Perspective
In Ayurveda, Vacha (Acorus calamus) is traditionally categorized as a Medhya Rasayana. This group includes rejuvenating herbs believed to enhance Medha (intellect) and cognitive endurance. "Vacha" is a Sanskrit name, meaning "speech." This reflects its historical application in managing voice-related concerns. It has been used to promote clarity of expression and support the health of the vocal apparatus. Vacha is known not just for cognitive wellness. It is also appreciated for its Deepana (appetizer) and Pachana (digestive) benefits. The herb has a pungent and bitter profile. Phytochemical Composition
The phytochemical profile of the Vacha (Acorus calamus) rhizome is complex. A wide range of secondary metabolites defines it. These compounds are mainly concentrated in volatile essential oils and bitter principles. The most characteristic constituents are the phenylpropanoids. These include alpha-asarone and beta-asarone. This varies in concentration depending on the plant's ploidy level. Additionally, Vacha contains a rich array of sesquiterpenes. Examples such as calamenene, shyobunone, and acorenone. The rhizome also features acorin. It is a bitter glycoside that provides the plant's characteristic "bitter tonic" effect. These primary compounds coexist with a several supporting constituents.
