General Usage
Leaves of Ziziphus jujuba (Sidr) have significant anti-inflammatory and moderate antipyretic activities. Sidr leaves are also great antioxidants. In folk medicine, Sidr leaves have been used to treat inflammatory diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, cancer, obesity, chronic constipation, and other neurological disorders.
Overview
Ziziphus jujuba (Sidr) is a medicinal plant with many traditional uses in Ayurveda. Ziziphus jujuba is a deciduous tree. The leaves are astringent and febrifuge. Leaves of the plant are considered a folk remedy for anemia, hypertonia, nephritis, and nervous diseases. Sidr leaves are antipyretic, reduce obesity, and treat other skin diseases and scabies.
