General Usage
Ayurveda has termed Triphala as a Tridoshic Rasayana which means a therapeutic agent that balances all three doshas named – ‘Kapha’, ‘Vata’, and ‘Pitta’. Triphala is one of the most common Ayurvedic formulations that relieves people from constipation and related stomach illnesses. Triphala also corrects liver problems. Triphala is also effective in appetite stimulation, and reduction of hyperacidity while being an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulating, antibacterial, antimutagenic, adaptogenic, and hypoglycemic agent.
Overview
Triphala is mentioned in Ayurveda as a mixture of Emblica Officinalis (Amla) Fruit Powder, Terminalia Bellirica (Bibhitaki) Fruit Powder, Terminalia Chebula (Haritaki) Fruit Powder. It is said to help & support the respiratory system, digestive system, improves immunity and overall wellbeing. Triphala is a very rich source of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antimicrobial agents that aid in the healthy functioning of the body.
