General Usage
Trikatu has been considered as one of the best herbal medicines to treat the condition of Ama (improperly digested absorbed and improperly metabolized food particles including free radicles). Trikatu primarily affects the stomach, liver, and pancreas. Trikatu restores the digestive system along with the respiratory, urinary, and complete metabolic systems of the body.
Overview
Trikatu is an Ayurvedic formulation of three acrid herbs maricha (Piper nigrum Linn.), Pippali (Piper longum Linn.) and Shunthi (Zingiber officinalis Rosc) in the ratio of (1:1:1; w:w). Maricha, Pippali, and Shunthi balance the Tridosha in the body and increase overall health and immunity.
