Ajwain seeds possess excellent aphrodisiac properties. Trachyspermum ammi seeds are reputed in traditional and folk medicine for stimulant, antispasmodic and carminative properties. The seed is also used to cure abdominal tumors, abdominal pains, bowel disorders such as indigestion, flatulence, colic, and diarrhea.
