General Usage
In ancient medicine, Rosa damascene petals are used in the treatment of abdominal and chest pain, strengthening the heart, treatment of menstrual bleeding and digestive problems, and reduction of inflammation in body. Commonly, rose petals are also used in cooking as a flavoring ingredient and garnish across the middle east and Indian cuisine.

Rosa damascene (Rose) is an important member of the Rosaceae family flowers. Besides being an ornamental fragrant plant, the flower petals of rose has shown pharmacological properties including anti-HIV, antibacterial, antioxidant, antitussive, hypnotic, antidiabetic, and relaxant effect on body. The rose petals are also consumed for its perfumery effect.
