General Usage

Rama Tulsi, O. sanctum, is a potent adaptogen and recognized in Ayurveda as an important medicinal and holy plant. In traditional medicine, tulsi is recommended in treatment of anxiety, cough, asthma, diarrhea, fever, dysentery, arthritis, eye diseases, otalgia, indigestion, hiccups, vomiting, gastric, cardiac and genitourinary disorders, back pain, skin diseases, ringworm, malaria, etc.

Ocimum sanctum has great significance in Ayurveda. The multipurpose holy plant belongs to the family Lamiaceae. Unique pharmacological action of Rama tulsi can combat physical, chemical, metabolic and psychological stress. The phytochemicals in leaves like flavonoids, phenol, terpenoids, alkaloids, eugenol and others impart great medicinal benefits to O. sanctum.
