General Usage
In Ayurveda, Kaempferia Galanga is used for treatment of Vata ailments, cough and cold, fever, headache, pains disorders, skin diseases, rheumatic diseases, arthritis, joint fractures, vertigo, wounds, gastritis, etc. Kachur Sugandhi roots are also used for its antioxidant, cytotoxic, anti-inflammatory, sedative, vasorelaxant, anti-angiogenic, antinociceptive, and wound healing activities.
Overview
Kaempferia Galanga (Kachur Sugandhi/ Aromatic Ginger) is native to Indian subcontinent. Kaempferia Galanga contains protein, fiber, and high amount of essential minerals (potassium, phosphorous, and magnesium) along with appreciable amounts of iron, manganese, zinc, cobalt, and nickel. It is an important Indian medicinal herb used in treatment of numerous ailments.
