General Usage
In Ayurveda, Bacopa monnieri has been recommended to promote memory and intellect and has also been prescribed for treatment of neurological disorders. Brahmi is also considered a rejuvenator and cognitive function enhancer. There have been studies reporting that Bacopa monnieri reduces anxiety levels by influencing neurohumoral complexes. Brahmi also has antispasmodic, anticholinesterase, antioxidant, antidepressant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Bacopa monnieri (Brahmi) is used in herbal medicine worldwide, including Europe and North America. Bacopa monnieri is a glabrous, succulent, small, prostrate or creeping annual herb found in wet & damp places across India. It is traditionally used in Ayurveda as neural tonic and memory enhancer. Brahmi has many medicinal properties like antispasmodic, anticholinesterase, neuroprotective, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial.
