Controlled airflow, strict cleanroom protocols and continuously monitored environments ensure freshness and quality remain intact from arrival to dispatch. All our operations run on SAP systems and are supported by Organic, FFL, GMP, FSSC 22000, FSMA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and several other accreditations and certifications.

Plant Profile
Cassia auriculata (often classified as Senna auricula), commonly known as Neutral Henna. It is a fast-growing, evergreen perennial shrub belonging to the family Fabaceae. The plant typically grows between 1 and 2 meters in height. It is easily recognized by its attractive, bright yellow flowers and smooth, reddish-brown bark. The leaves are paripinnately compound and alternate. Each leave has 8 to 12 pairs of oval-oblong leaflets that are dull green on the upper surface and a paler shade beneath. C. auriculata is native to the Indian Subcontinent and Sri Lanka. It is widely distributed throughout the hot, arid, and semi-arid regions of India. It frequently grows in open forests, scrublands and along roadsides. Particularly in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and parts of Southern India.
Healthcare Perspective
In Ayurveda, Cassia auriculata is known as Avartaki. It is valued for its cooling (Sheeta) and astringent (Kashaya) properties. It is primarily utilized with the intent to balance the Pitta and Kapha doshas. In the global natural beauty industry, the leaves are widely utilized as "Neutral Henna" (also referred to simply as Cassia). Unlike true henna (Lawsonia inermis), it does not typically impart color to dark hair. Instead, it is used for its conditioning properties. Historically, it has been applied in hair care rituals with the goal of strengthening the hair shaft. It also reduces the appearance of dandruff, and adding a natural gloss to the hair.
Phytochemical Composition
The chemical profile of Cassia auriculata has a high concentration of polyphenols and flavonoids. These compounds support its traditional use in metabolic and skin-care applications. It contains a diverse array of antioxidants. Including quercetin, kaempferol, rutin, and catechins (specifically epicatechin). The leaves and flowers are notably rich in tannins and proanthocyanidins. These compounds give the plant's characteristic astringent properties. Additionally, the plant contains active anthraquinones. Such as emodin and rhein—in lower concentrations, alongside unique constituents like 3-O-methyl-D-glucose, resorcinol, and squalene. Its conditioning effect in hair care is attributed to these tannins and a faint yellow resinous pigment (chrysophanic acid). It coats the hair shaft, providing a temporary gloss without the deep, permanent staining associated with true henna.
